Celebrating Excellence: Phethego PK Kgomo Graduates from the 2024 ELDP!
We are proud to announce:
Phethego PK Kgomo, Q-Director at Supreme Spring, has successfully completed and graduated from the esteemed Executive Leadership Development Programme (ELDP) 2024, hosted by Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) in collaboration with Stellenbosch Business School.
A Programme Built for the Future
Launched with the vision of transforming Toyota’s corporate culture and future-proofing the organisation, the ELDP ran from August 2024 to January 2025, culminating in a prestigious graduation ceremony held on Wednesday, 19 March 2025, at TWIMS, Durban.
This exclusive programme is not for the faint of heart. It is designed to sharpen strategic execution, nurture collective leadership, foster cross-functional collaboration, and develop a mindset of mentorship and adaptability across the value chain.
To achieve this, 14 exceptional candidates were carefully selected from across TSAM’s leadership structures—spanning Dealerships, Marketing, Sales, Commercial, Purchasing, Finance, HR, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering. Among these, two distinguished individuals were specially invited from METAIR:
- Phethego PK Kgomo (Q-Director) – Supreme Spring
- Unathi Nodada (MFG GM) – Lumotech
A Journey of Transformation and Tenacity
Much like the rigorous training faced by astronauts and Navy SEALs, the ELDP was a true test of grit, leadership, and intellectual endurance. Delegates were challenged through an intense and accelerated curriculum comparable to a full MBA, compressed into single-day modules delivered by Stellenbosch Business School’s finest minds.
Each day brought:
- Full-day immersive lectures from SBS's best—what usually takes 3 months in an MBA programme, ELDP delegates completed in a single day
- Sleepless nights filled with research, teamwork, and real-time business problem solving
- High-stakes Business Driven Action Learning Projects, led by the Learning Process Facilitator
- A rigorous Toyota Business Plan Assessment (as teams, individually, and in real manufacturing conditions)
The ELDP 2024 group consisted of 14 Executive, General, Senior and Middle Management individuals – a true test of capacity and capability.
A Momentous Graduation
The ELDP 2024 cohort graduated in a moving and dignified ceremony attended by Toyota, Stellenbosch Business School, TWIMS, and industry-academic leaders. The event recognised the outstanding commitment, sacrifice, and growth of each delegate, making it a moment of pride not only for the individuals, but also for the organisations they represent.
Congratulations to Phethego PK Kgomo on this remarkable achievement.
Your journey through the ELDP reflects your unwavering dedication to leadership excellence and business transformation. You have made both Supreme Spring and the METAIR family incredibly proud!
